StationRipper

When we were kids, recording music from radio stations involved a good cassette recorder and a bit of luck so the DJ didn’t say something over the song to ruin the entire recording. Nowadays, this only requires a nice computer app.

StationRipper is a nice program that was designed for this particular purpose. It has a clean interface that should be easy to figure out by all users, thanks to the intuitive layout.

The app comes with several station groups that can be analyzed quite easily. For instance, you can check the “StationPortal”, “Last.fm”, “Shoutcast” and “Pandora” to name just a few. Overall, you have access to over 12,000 radio stations and even more Podcasts.

Once a station is selected, you may play it and record it at the same time. The app can record up to 600 different streams at the same time. Since the program can be used in combination with iTunes and MediaMonkey, it may automatically generate a playlist of the recorded songs for either of these tools.

The app provides a list of the music and stations that were recorded, allowing you an easy playback.
