Voice Recorder

Recording one's voice can be useful in a myriad of ways. For example, some people favor audio notes over hand-written ones, some do voice-overs in their free time or maybe for a living while others let their voice flow over the internet. In order to do all those things and more, you first need voice recording software, and Voice Recorder fits that description.

Some programs come with hour-long demos and hefty help sections, which are not that appealing to most users. That is not the case with Voice Recorder  — a single look at the UI and you know exactly what to do.

First, the microphone will be automatically detected, so the recording equipment part is covered. Next, the band frequency is set to the highest level by default (48000HZ). The only thing you might change before starting a recording is the Soundtrack, which is on Mono by default, but in most cases, Stereo is the best choice.

To start a recording session, you have to hit the purple microphone bubble. Each recording will be saved as a WAV file, and the output location will be by default the Documents folder. Sadly, it seems that there is no way to change this location. Unless you are okay with it, you can manually move them to another directory.

All the recorded items will be listed in the right-side pane. From there, you can either play, access their location, rename, or delete them.

Voice Recorder looks like the type of app that caters more to less experienced or not so tech-savvy users. However, that is not a bad thing, especially these days, when more and more people take interest in everything that distracts them and makes the time go by.
