Working sessions entail focus and energy, but it sometimes happens that an idea comes up in your mind and interrupts your workflow. Specifically designed for such situations, VoiceNote allows you to start speaking and record a voice memo instead of writing the idea down to minimize disruptions and productivity losses.

If you come to think about it, speaking about your idea out loud is the fastest way to have it "written" down before you forget it. That is the principle at the heart of VoiceNote. To put it another way, this application is a storage medium for audio self-memos.

To keep you from losing focus, VoiceNote runs in the system tray, giving you the possibility to hide the main window by pressing a custom key combination. Alternatively, you can configure the application to minimize to the system tray when the 'ESC' key is pressed.

The application comes with a few predefined categories of notes, having different labels, but you can also add new folders to the list. It is not necessary to label notes as you create them as new recordings go in the 'Unfiled' category, which you can browse whenever you have the time. This is another feature that aims to keep you stay on target.

The main window comprises recording controls to start, stop and play audio files in VoiceNote, actions that can also be triggered via hotkeys. Additional settings enable you to configure the application's behavior when deleting or importing notes.

VoiceNote relies on a folder-based system to organize your recordings as they occur in your mind. Its main perk is that it enables you to record short MP3 files to store your ideas so that you don't forget your line of thought and don't lose productivity either.
