LittleOne

Music is a form of art, and it requires the right tools to get the job done properly, or at least the way you see it as proper. For example, if your budget is keeping you from acquiring a real synthesizer, then a digital version can work almost just as well.  However, the problem with such programs is that they usually come in with the basic packets of tools, as they are modular and can be enriched more or less with plugins. One such plugin is LittleOne, a faithful software emulation of one of the most legendary and appreciated hardware analog synthesizers.

Some of the elements that LittleOne brings new to the table is the full rack with a 16-step analog sequencer, a 16-step trance gate effect, two insert/master effects slots, and the result is a complete, true-analog-sounding setup within the comfort of a modern digital studio. Given that musical instruments come with their form of built-in imperfections, due to the analog electronic components that make it up, LittleOne is built to work precisely around these flaws and take advantage of them.

LittleOne uses a technology called Advanced Component Simulation (ACS) which, in essence, tries to preserve the original analog hardware architecture and physical properties, even the flaws that come with them. This approach towards replicating nature instead of perfecting it makes the sound feel even warmer and more natural, which also inadvertently makes the plugin all the more desirable.

While in the end, you'll still be using a digital synth, LittleOne will improve on how it will behave, allowing you to feel just a bit more closer to having the real thing within your grasp.
