When it comes to learning how to play an instrument, the Internet is filled with all sort of applications and programs that could help you do just that. One of them is MidiMix.

It's a neat software solution that helps you load and play MIDI files. It was designed primarily for choir members to learn music, as it allows them to take a single MIDI file with all parts present and play it backwards, so they can learn faster.

The application installs quickly and it sports a really straightforward and intuitive graphical interface with lots of tools and features at hand.

The toolbar gives you access to some sections that you can access, but it would have been nice if it came with a presentation or some tips that you could check out. It allows you to learn how to play musical instruments using a MIDI file.

The program was designed for choir members, they can load MIDI files and play separate sections. It displays notes in the main window and you can loop marked sections if you want or use play or stop controls.

It also has the option to adjust the play speed, but you can't adjust volume which is quite inconvenient. The application allows you to pick from various output devices, simply pick the one that's connected to your computer.

It allows you to load single parts of the MIDI file and play it back in ways that are customized to your needs. You can also use multiple presets if you want and the application allows you to save MIDI files to your computer, when you're done.

MidiMix is a small application for learning how to play music but it would have been nice if it came with some more features and tools.
