You probably want something that looks good but does not interfere too much with your work, something that is easy to use but not rudimentary. AntoniePlayer is a program taking a shot at being exactly that: an efficient but moderate multimedia solution.

We’ll start with the application’s appearance, which is not overly pretty but is not cluttered either. A combination of blue and light green is what accompanies your audio trips, with no other skins being available.

However, the interface is balanced, and all the controls are conveniently placed so that you can instantly trigger the action you are interested in.

What’s more, you can even check an option allowing you to minimize the player to systray, which is proof that it tries to intrude as little as possible.

As expected, the multimedia player supports various file extensions ranging from MP3, AVI, and MPG to WAV, WMV, and more, which we have tested without facing any issues.

After adding audio or video files to the playlist, you can simply explore the content using the “Play,” “Previous,” “Next,” “Eject,” “Pause,” and “Stop” buttons, and can also repeat or shuffle the tracks.

The upper section of the main window also displays some file info, such as its title, location, and ID.

The program is also a nice karaoke companion, since clicking the button depicting a scale with musical notes on it opens a new window listing the lyrics to the song you are listening to.

When watching videos, the app prompts you with another window, which you can resize or even set to fullscreen so that you have the best viewing experience.

AntoniePlayer is a basic multimedia player that does its job without being flashy in any way. There are no ways to customize its looks, and it lacks advanced functions, but for those who don’t want to bother with such aspects, it might prove a reasonable utility.
