The installation process is old fashioned, typical to Windows 95, and as such may be confusing for younger users. Despite this minor inconvenience, the process is fast and straight-forward.

Just like the setup, the GUI (Graphical User Interface) is reminiscent of old Windows, which may be a delight for veteran users, but this retro feel can be a turn-off for those familiar with more visual eye-candy associated with newer versions of Windows.

An advantage of these retro and resource-efficient visuals is that they allow the program to be compatible with older and newer hardware configurations alike.

The simplicity of the program speaks for itself, as there are no hidden sub-menus, and the only choice the user has to make is which song to start with first, and whether to set the playback style to either random or sequential order.

It boasts a playlist of 40 holiday favorites such as "Feliz Navidad", "Jingle Bell Rock" and "Twelve Days of Christmas", making it great to have it while at home with family. More so, since it can play music in the background, it is also easy to hide behind other apps, making it very useful at the office.

All things considered, if you are looking to spend the holidays with your loved ones or just miss the feeling of a program reminiscent of the good old days when having Windows 95 was the hottest thing yet, Christmas Music Player might the right application for you.

Because the application can no longer be purchased, only users with a registration code can unlock all songs, unfortunately the demo limits the user to only three songs.
