Although you’ve got the Internet at your disposal to satisfy your daily need for entertainment, this can also be done locally and offline, but those files need to be on your computer. This includes music too, for which you need a dedicated application to read your files. In case the Windows default one is too complicated, maybe Faslo Player can tickle your fancy.

When launched, the application brings up a pretty compact main window, but with a personal touch to it, although the overall design looks pulled from the past decade. In any case, accommodation is pretty easy, with most elements, buttons, and functions speaking for themselves.

In terms of file support, the application leaves more to be desired, with the only supported formats being WAV and MP3. However, you can also import streaming media from URLs, which means you can use the application to simply listen to your favorite radio station.

On the other hand, Faslo Player wants to be a bit more than your ordinary audio player, with several functions you don’t normally find in a common application of its kind. In other words, the main specialty is to enable playback at different speeds, slower or faster, but without having a noticeable impact on quality.

The set of options put at your disposal is mostly represented by different sliders and check boxes. Needless to say that some of them refer to speed, but there are also option to simply state whether to song to go faster or slower.

Apart from playback capabilities, the application also comes with a built-in recorder. The main window expands when pressing the voice effects button, thus revealing some more recording options. There’s a button to initiate it, with several sliders to adjust input and output sections, pitch, and shift. Sadly, there are no options to save recordings or songs you slow down or speed up.

To sum it up, Faslo Player comes with good intentions, and wants to give you the options to listed to your favorite songs a bit differently. Simple controls let you determine the pace at which playback is affected. You can also use the built-in recorder to capture microphone input. However, it feels a little rough around the edges, with no save options, and rather poor file support.
