Much like other music genres, lo-fi has an appeal of its own that you either get or you don't. Deliberately emphasizing imperfections in production is a defining trait of music like such, which is generally seen by many as a way to connect to the respective songs of this ilk more closely.

By this point, it's safe to say that these types of songs have a very passionate following, so if you're looking to move away from YouTube playlists and such, Loofi is a music player that was specifically designed for users like you. It's a place where you can discover and enjoy new lo-fi tunes, and fully immerse in them.

As stated earlier, the program was purpose-built for streaming lo-fi music. The audience for the software is thus very clear from the outset: as the catalog is only comprised of lo-fi songs, no other genres can be streamed through this app.

Despite featuring only a single genre, the song selection is rather limited. The program seems to feature a few artists on its Home page predominantly. Looking up new tunes through the Search menu is still not ideal, as you're already working with a meager selection of songs.

The interface is quite modern and sleek, and is faintly reminiscent of the one on Apple Music. Heading into the Settings menu will allow you to change the appearance of the interface into any of the 8 available themes.

Unless you're a fan of lo-fi music and are looking to try some new songs out, Loofi is a program that can best be described as niche. Though it is a music player designed for a very specific subset of users, its streaming catalog still has some bulking up to do.
