USMAN MP3 PLAYER is a straightforward and handy software utility designed to help you listen to your favorite music. It comes with a tag editor, a voice recorder and a tool for joining, cutting and ripping audio files.

The program offers a clean and easy-to-learn layout featuring basic playback options. Unfortunately, it doesn't have an icon pinned to the Windows taskbar or systray, and it's not visible when toggling multiple opened applications using Alt+Tab. Instead, it gets minimized to a title bar in the lower left corner of the screen, just above the Start button. However, this bar doesn't stay on top of other windows, which means that it's necessary to minimize all panels to return to the desktop and select it.

To insert files into the list, all you have to do is browse their location on the computer. There is no function to select and add files at once, so you have to add one song at a time. Incorporated in the panel is a series of standard playback buttons like previous, play, pause, stop and next. For each item, you have the possibility to check general information, such as the song name, format, bitrate, frequency and channel mode. Moreover, you can edit their tags, like title and artist name, album, year, or comment. The volume and the speed of the song can be tweaked according to your tastes.

A window is displayed for choosing the item you want to split, along with its path. The next step is selecting the starting and ending parts, followed by the cutting operation. To merge them back, the process requires you to specify the original file, along with the name and directory of the new one. The utility can record your voice through wave devices (integrated microphone), which you can stop anytime. The output is saved in the app's default folder. If a CD is inserted into the PC, it's automatically detected and ran. The songs are played in the order they were written on the disk. You have the possibility to search entire directories for any audio recordings. After the process is done, the tool displays all the found results.
