Sound recording doesn’t always capture sound as initially planned. The environment plays an important role as well, and chances are further processing is required. This can easily be accomplished with virtual processors, or specialized plugins like FreeverbToo, providing utilities to gate sound, and apply a few effects.

Since it comes in the form of a VST plugin, a dedicated application is required to enable feature functionality, with one suitable example like VSTHost. Once connected to the target input, and output racks, feedback is delivered in real time. A visual preview of the environment provides support in understanding how sliders modify sound input in a specific environment.

A set of general sliders is used to adjust the room size, with instant visual feedback, damping level, predelay, and color on two levels, each slider being fitted with numerical indicators for better reading of values. Sound can be balanced on either of the two sliders with a dedicated slider.

On the other hand, a couple of sets of dedicated processing effects are the main interest. In a similar manner to general effects, sliders provide comfortable control over attributes like Threshold, Attack, Hold, and Release for audio gating, as well as wet or dry mixture for freeze. Both processing effects can be used at the same time.
