Used often in music production and employed by many DJs during their sets, delay is one of the oldest audio effects and also one of the most powerful. Just a bit of it is enough to add some depth to your music, but there are actually many ways in which the effect can completely rearrange your sounds. Any DAW will feature delay in some capacity, but there are also many other dedicated plugins that offer more advanced functions.

Repeater is a delay plugin created by D16 Audio Group Software in collaboration with Slate Digital. Like most of D16’s “vintage modeled” plugins and synths, Repeater’s interface is designed to resemble an analog effect unit. However, this piece of software has the capacity to emulate 23 unique classic delay units. Thus you can experiment with different delays such as Cassette Tape, Digital 42, DM-2, Memory Guy, New Radio, Plexy Echo, Tape Delay Ancient, TelRay, and many more.

Repeater allows you to control different parameters for both stereo channels; the dual parameters can be linked or controlled individually for a more creative approach to mixing your songs. The plugin also comes with plenty of presets that showcase its capabilities and can be used for various genres of music.
