Pitch Shifter

Pitch Shifter is a VST plugin that can be used with any compatible host application in order to raise or lower the original pitch of an audio signal. It is intended for music creators, helping them generate innovative and interesting effects using a granular-based algorithm.

The package bundles a diverse collection of presets that you can use to scramble voices, distort sounds, add dissonance and so on. The simplistic interface comprises all the options, allowing you to experiment with sounds by modifying the parameter values.

The plugin is capable of mixing the initial sound with the pitch shifted signal, allowing you to adjust the ratio between them using the 'Dry/Wet' control. This gives you the freedom to play around with the sound, creating astonishing harmonizing and octave effects.

The 'Grain Length' and the 'Grain Adapt' options are meant to customize the segmentation process, continuously adjusting the segment length to the pitch period of the signal, which should result in optimizing the audio output.

Upwards shifting often leads to aliasing, but Pitch Shifter features an anti-alias tool whose role is to filter the signal prior to rising the pitch value.

The GUI also bundles options for fine tuning the pitch shifting, as well as feedback control. This latter parameter enables you to obtain unconventional and uncommon effects, used for outputting monster voices and other similar sounds.
