AIMP Lock

One of the popular names in the media playback software category is AIMP. While its feature set is more than enough to meet the requirements of the most pretentious users, there are little things that might not appeal to one or the other.

For instance, you might not like it that AIMP keeps playing when you lock the computer, as that is its default behavior and the way it was configured. But, as there is always an app or a software solution for everything, AIMP Lock comes to address this so-called issue.

AIMP Lock is a plugin for the AIMP player, meant to enrich its functionality. Its purpose is to prevent the player from loading the current song when the current user locks Windows. In other words, when the PC gets locked voluntarily (using the Win-L key combination) or the computer enters sleep mode and, consequently, the current user gets logged out, the music is automatically paused.

When logging in again to Windows and unlocking the PC, AIMP Lock gives a signal to the player, which resumes the playback exactly where you left off. This comes in handy if you often leave your computer and want to have the player resume when you come back.

Installing AIMP Lock is not complicated at all, as you just have to place the unzipped folder into the Plugins directory of AIMP. The plugin should be then automatically recognized by the application. B default, AIMP toggles the addon active but you can deactivate it from the Plugins section in AIMP’s settings.
