AmbiLoop

AmbiLoop is a comprehensive piece of software that you can use to loop music tapes with multiple tracks, play up to eight loops at the same time, record audio in mono or stereo channel mode, and other sound enhancement operations. It does not require installation and comes packed with some handy options and configuration parameters for experienced users.

Since there is no setup pack involved, you can save the program files to a custom location on the disk and just click the executable to launch AmbiLoop. Another possibility is to save it to a pen drive or other removable storage unit, to be able to run it on any computer with minimum effort and no previous installers.

An important aspect worth taking into account is that, unlike most installers, it does not modify Windows registry settings or create extra files on the disk without your consent, thus leaving it clean after program removal.

The GUI is based on a large classical window that integrates numerous options. Less experienced users might feel discouraged by it. To get started, it is necessary to select the audio device that will be used for recording.

It is possible to record in mono or stereo, set the tracks to play after setting the loop, specify the maximum delay time, hide beat markers from the loop editing window, disable warnings (e.g. sample rate differences, save and load default sessions, quicksave overwrites), as well as activate a monitor and tweak the monitor and pan levels, among other settings.

AmbiLoop puts a lot of handy adjustable options at your disposal, like a metronome, tempo, track multiplication and division, frequency, resonance, speed, depth, reverb, and feedback. You can configure MIDI and keyboard control, zoom in and out of the waveform, disable delay, enable synchronization, and so on.

We have not come across any stability issues in our testing, since the program did not hang, crash or pop up error messages. It is very responsive to commands and leaves a small footprint on computer performance, thanks to the fact that it uses low CPU and RAM.

To sum it up, AmbiLoop comes loaded with a lot of practical options and customization preferences for professional users in audio mixing, such as musicians and studio engineers.
