One of them is GuitarPower. It's a neat application that teaches you how to use chords, scales, notes, arpeggios and many more elements.

The application installs quickly and it doesn't come with a complicated setup that you would need to complete before you can actually use it. It sports a really intuitive and clean user interface with lots of tools and features that you can check out.

If you're having trouble getting accustomed to the application, you can access the help menu with plenty of instructions. The program was designed for both beginner and advanced users.

It contains over 3,000 chord voicings, as well as 500 scales and 550 arpeggios that you can use in order to brush up your guitar player skills. You can use triads in any inversion, it displays notes in the fretboard and comes with the option to learn relationships between chords and scales.

You can name your own chord voicings and it comes with all chords fully fingered, to make it easier to learn them. It also displays formulas and notes contained within selected chord, scale and more.

Scales and arpeggios can be displayed over the whole fretboard or restricted to one position and the application allows you to practice chord progressions which are included to facilitate learning and using chords or scales.

You can choose from over 200 play-along backing tracks and it supports both right-handed or left-handed display. You can print information from the application, use a metronome or playback through soundcard or external MIDI device.
