Java Piano Trainer is a lightweight Windows application designed to help users practice and improve their piano skills by connecting MIDI devices to a virtual piano keyboard.

This is a portable program, so it is important to mention that it doesn’t leave any traces in the Windows Registry.

You can copy it on any USB flash drive or other devices, and take it with you whenever you to need to use a virtual piano keyboard, without having to go through installation steps.

Since this is a Java-based utility, you should make sure you have previously installed the working environment on the computer, otherwise you cannot run the tool.

Java Piano Trainer boasts a clean and intuitive layout that allows you to configure the MIDI parameters in terms of input and output devices, channel, and metronome, test the MIDI device and metronome, and view information about the keyboard and MIDI device (e.g. name, vendor, version, description).

Other important features worth mentioning are represented by the possibility to generate random notes based on a user-defined number of notes, scale, and lowest or highest note, make the tool show hints and wrong keys, as well as set up the synthesizer parameters.
