The main window of Little Midi Band lets you load the song that you want to work with and proceed to listening to it, pausing and resuming as needed.

Aside from the MIDI files that come with the program and with which you can easily resort, you also have the option of loading your own. After a brief moment during which the song loads, it will automatically start playing.

At the same time, Little Midi Band will begin displaying the equivalent chords and keys in your music file, depending on the used instruments. As such, you can learn which piano keys are getting pressed or which guitar and bass strings are being pulled.

Moreover, the utility also enables you to visualize the drum components that produce sound, thus helping you figure out the orchestration of your music file. However, you will need to write it down by hand, as Little Midi Band does not support exporting this information to a file, which might become fairly time consuming, depending on the complexity of the music.
