If you are doing routine tasks daily on your computer, then there is a fair chance that you may want to make your day brighter by listening to some music. Then again, if you are working with numbers or are writing, then standard songs can be somehow distracting.

MindChimes is a lightweight utility designed to play relaxing music in the background while you are performing other tasks on the computer.

The app comes with a minimalistic interface that includes all the available presets, namely warm winds, firefly, zen garden, crystal, forest chimes, bamboo grove, tribal, deep wood, shadow bells, morning mist, silver and twilight.

In the eventuality that you do not like any of them - or perhaps got bored - then you have the option to create your own chimes. In this case you can either click on the colored box for an automatic generation or hit the Clear Chimes button and work on a new one from scratch. If you have a MIDI device, then the possibilities are endless.

According to various medical experts, loop sounds can have the opposite effects than relaxation and can enable you to skip important details. You will be happy to learn that there is no looping in the sound algorithms, but only natural sounds.

It is worth mentioning that application is programmed by a professional musician. Consequentially, the realism and quality of the chime sounds and wind patterns were treated with particular care.
