MusicCut

MusicCut is a simple-to-use program designed to help you easily split media files of various formats (e.g. MP3, WMA, WAV, AVI).

The interface of the application is plain and intuitive. You can import media files via the file browser only, since the "drag and drop" method is not supported (and neither is batch processing).

You can play, pause and stop tracks, as well as mark the start and end time by using two buttons. Plus, you can play the selection and save parts in the MP3, WMA, WAV or AMR format.

You can enable MusicCut to randomly select a part of the song, open the output directory once the task is finished and to play a sound reminder after output.

The audio processing tool requires a very low amount of system resources, has a fair response time, quickly finishes a task and manages to keep a good sound quality after conversion.

No errors have occurred during our tests and MusicCut did not freeze or crash. A file may take a while to be loaded, depending on its size. On the other hand, there is no help file available and the unregistered version is pretty limited.

But, overall, MusicCut offers pretty limited features. For example, you cannot mark the start and end point by manually writing the time values. Also, you cannot split songs by time, size or into equal parts. We recommend MusicCut with reservations.
