VOVSOFT - Noise Detector

As a teacher, keeping a classroom disciplined and quiet can be a challenge sometimes. VOVSOFT - Noise Detector is a lightweight software utility designed to provide assistance in keeping the noise level in a classroom at an acceptable level.

The application comes in two editions: a standard installer one and a portable version, each with its own download link. Unlike the first, the latter requires no installation and can be used on the go, launched directly from a removable drive. It leaves no traces on the host system and does not affect its registry in any way.

The main GUI of VOVSOFT - Noise Detector bundles all the options in a single window. There is a big button to start the microphone, which starts recording the noise in the room. The noise threshold level can be adjusted using the slider, while the tolerance level can be changed as well.

You can choose between three different warning sounds: a beep and a “shhh” spoken either by a male or a female. When the noise level gets too high exceeding the threshold, the warning sound is played, and this might help calm the chaos in the classroom.

The microphone can be automatically started when VOVSOFT - Noise Detector is launched and the application can be minimized to the system tray, so that it does not interfere with your work at all.

VOVSOFT - Noise Detector is a handy classroom noise monitor that can monitor the noise level and lay a warning sound to calm the children down. The app is surely not revolutionary, but it might come in handy to teachers with a noisy classroom.
