Abander TagControl

As its name implies, Abander TagControl is a tool designed to help you edit the tags of your audio tracks. It supports MP3, WMA, OGG, APE, MPC, AAC and FLAC.

The interface of the app is clean and simple to navigate through. Thanks to the Explorer-based layout, you can easily locate and select files for processing. Working with multiple items simultaneously is possible.

You can check out various data on each item, such as the track duration, bit rate and location, as well as edit their tags when it comes to the artist, title, album, year, genre and track number, just to name a few.

You can rename files by creating masks (e.g. separator, folder, title, version, channel mode, encoder), get tags from filenames and create a playlist, as well as extract album images, lyrics or tracks information (to HTML or CSV).

Other features of Abander TagControl allow you to rate songs, follow a wizard to synchronize ID3 tags or replace words, create and organize a favorites list. The GUI is completely customizable in regard to the columns, file type, structure, toolbars and theme.

From the 'Program Options' area, you can make Abander TagControl minimize to the system tray, capitalize symbols, use a case filter, change the default Winamp or custom player path, set the default ID3 tag version and customize lyric scripts. Some settings can be restored to default.

The audio processing program supports keyboard shortcuts, contains user's guide, has a good response time and needs a moderate amount of system resources to work properly. We have not come across any issues during our evaluation. First-time users may need some time to get accustomed to Abander TagControl's layout.
