AI Image Enlarger does exactly that: it allows you to effortlessly enlarge and enhance the quality of low-resolution images in three simple steps. Before anything else, though, it’s worth noting that this app is a desktop GUI for a web-based service called AI Img Enlarger.

With that out of the way, here’s how it works: you upload the image (via drag and drop or traditional means), choose the style, preview, and download the enhanced and enlarged photo. Another important aspect worth knowing is the fact that the app only works with images with resolutions smaller than 800x750.

Installing AI Image Enlarger is as easy as using it, just as long as you make sure that .NET Framework is present on your computer. Once launched, it provides you with 4 image styles, namely Artwork, Photo, Face, and High-Grade. The High-Grade style is obviously the best for yielding the quality, but it’s also the slowest. Before you submit the picture, you can also choose from two ratio selections: 2x (200%) and 4x (400%).

Granted, when it comes to apps such as this, a certain degree of skepticism might be understandable. However, as we have discovered during our tests, the app works better than expected, hence, that the AI technology really gives it an edge.

At the end of the day, AI Image Enlarger is a very practical and efficient little tool. Sure, some might argue that it’s not exactly productivity-oriented (since it can only process one picture at a time — no batch conversion support), however, if quality is what you’re after, you’ll have to just accept the fact that enlarging a lot of pictures takes time.
