Camera Control Manager

Camera Control Manager is an advanced piece of software designed to help Sony digital camera users tweak and customize the settings of their gadgets so that they get the desired output.

The setup is a quick and effortless process that does not take too much time and it is unlikely to give you any troubles, regardless of your experience with similar software solutions. The program comes with an intuitive and appealing interface that comprises of three main sections, namely Still image, Movie image and the Settings tab.

It is worth mentioning that the application is compatible with Sony devices only and you can get started by connecting your digital camera to the computer using a standard USB cable. Once you press the Connect button, you should be able to access the content stored on your digital camera.

As you probably hinted, the Still Image tab allows you to configure the preferred shooting mode, aspect ratio, quality of the pictures, ISO sensitivity, exposure compensation, white balance, aperture and the shutter speed. The Movie Image mode packs a few extra functions compared to the Still Image tab, namely frame rate, movie file format, bit rate, available recording time as well as Live View.

As far as the Settings tab is concerned, the utility permits you to enable functions such as Silent Shooting, AF-C Priority Setup, Continuous AF, Steady Shot or TC/UB display settings, an option that allows you to transfer the monitor to an HDMI monitor, just to name a few.

A further noteworthy option is to enable the XAVC S format so that you can record high-resolution images including 4K with high-compression, such as MPEG-4 AVC/H.264, for instance.
