Exif Time Shifter

Cameras normally store metadata in EXIF tags when creating images, and it may sometimes be necessary to change this information if it has not been set correctly, which is where a specialized utility can come in handy.

Exif Time Roller is a small, open-source utility that can help you make these corrections in no time. It is capable of processing any number of files at once, and it features a minimalistic, if somewhat outdated UI.

After launching the application, you can import one or more images by clicking the Find files button. Drag and drop actions are not supported, unfortunately, but the process is still pretty straightforward.

Exif Time Roller will display the date information in the file list, and you can fine-tune the date and time using the buttons on the right side of the UI. Sadly, you cannot enter custom values, which would have sped up the operation.

This program is great for making small adjustments, but users should be able to set an exact date and time without clicking the plus and minus buttons repeatedly. However, if you want the EXIF date to be the same as the creation date, things are a lot simpler.

It is worth noting that you cannot select an entire folder when importing images, and it is not possible to remove items from the list once they have been imported. Also, the output location can only be set by writing the path manually, which is somewhat inconvenient.

Exif Time Roller works well enough, but it lacks some useful features and looks a bit unpolished at present. It enables you to edit multiple EXIF tags in a jiffy, and it isn’t all that difficult to use.
