A one-window GUI takes care of everything and there are absolutely no any other configuration screens except the options you’re seeing in the main window.

The program relies on a very straightforward process that prompts users to select the device they wish to scan, which can be any memory card used by popular digital photo cameras out there. Users are required to input the folder where all recovered files shall be saved.

The scanning process could take a while, that’s true, but it all depends on the overall size of the media card and the amount of data that can be recovered.

A dedicated panel is being used to show filename, file size, width and height of any file to be restored, while a preview screen allows you to see the picture before actually recovering it.

Efficiency is undoubtedly the most important aspect however and we must admit that PicaJet Photo Recovery isn’t quite impressive from this point of view. It often fails to at least detect many files that can be recovered, not to mention the recovery rate per se.

All things considered, PicaJet Photo Recovery deserves a chance, but don’t expect it to save all your removed data. It works fast, it’s stable and it doesn’t affect the overall system performance at all.
