Photo Organizer

Photo Organizer is a tool meant to help people who have a lot of pictures unevenly distributed across folders and various locations. It has an incorporated engine that scans the system searching for the indicated photos and returns them in the main dashboard, already sorted.

This scanner does the difficult job. You start by indicating the location of the scan. It can be total, on the entire system, or just on a particular folder. Afterward, you must set if you want to create any subfolders. These could be folders organizing your pictures by creation date or camera model. Choose your date and folder name format and you are ready to go.

The Wizard will help rename all the files based on their metadata which makes finding, storing, removing duplicate pictures a lot easier. With well-organized data, you can become even more granular with your sorting preferences to save time and energy.

After letting the Photo Wizard do its magic, you can see the data displayed in an easy-to-use, simple photo manager. It displays the pictures sorted by your previously chosen and defined categories. You can have a great overview by choosing to have the images displayed by day, month, or year.

The photo visualizer prompts the user with a left-sided panel that displays picture categories such as ‘Moments,’ ‘Favorites,’ ‘Albums,’ etc. All your newly created folders will be displayed hierarchically here. Those can be exported to any chosen location or they can be moved/deleted, rearranged in different folders/locations.

Photo Organizer is a useful tool, especially for people who have a lot of pictures and data to organize. It is easy to use and has few but solid features. The graphical user interface could be improved (on the Photo Wizard especially) but the current one is not to be dismissed either. It has simple commands which guide the end-user through the entire process, making anyone who uses the tool feel assisted.
