AS-SaveScreen

Nowadays most operating systems have the screenshots ability already integrated. Some are limited, and some are somewhat complex, but the presence cannot be doubted. In case you want to try out new programs or you browse one to fit you need, AS-SaveScreen may catch your eye.

The GUI is a small window that will mainly reside in the system tray. It becomes visible upon taking a screenshot or by manual access. You can notice that is composed of two fields, one for the destination folder and one for the filename.

Moreover, near the "Filename" you can find a small combo menu which contains the supported formats, and a checkbox for upper/lower casing the file extension.

To take a screenshot first, you need to hit "PrintScreen." After the image is loaded, use the [Ctrl-Alt-F8} combination to load the image into the program. Select the destination folder and the filename, pick the desired extension, and the screenshots are generated in no-time. It only supports PNG an BMP formats, so if you need screenshots with different extensions, this app cannot help you.

After the picture was saved the program proceeds to hiding itself in the system tray and can be identified by its black&yellow floppy disk icon. If you have multiple windows running at the same time, you can use [ALT+PRINTSCREEN] to only capture the active window.

AS-SaveScreen can be copied on any external environment and used on any system you like. It does not require an installation process, and no registries or leftovers will be created.

To sum it up, AS-SaveScreen is a handy little tool used for capturing images from your monitor. Either you want to capture the entire worktable, or only parts of it, the app can easily put up. Suitable for any user despite his technical capabilities
