ColorPicker

There's no doubt the internet has had its fair share of color pickers. Still, since there's always room for more, ColorPicker shouldn't be avoided. It's interesting how there's always space for new even in these apps that seem to copy one another. This particular program is also part of PowerToys, yes that utility set for customizing Windows 10.

While not having a huge interface, the app still seems well polished. How so? It's got quite a number of useful features. For example, you can have the cursor change colors when picking a nuance from wherever it is you're grabbing it. The color format can be changed. You can choose between HEX, RGB, HSL, HSV, and VEC4. Most individuals will just resume to RGB if they're not that much into color hacking and adjusting.

Another interesting feature has to do with the key combination one can use to start picking colors. Not only is it useful as is, but it can be adjusted to whatever combination you feel is best for you. Quite a lot from such a tiny app if you think about it. Lastly, once you begin picking up colors, keep in mind you can use the scroll wheel on your mouse to zoom in as much as you can in order to pick up the exact color you need. If you can't remember the code there's a copy and paste feature, equally helpful.

ColorPicker, despite having such a bland, general name is probably one of the more polished apps from its category. Thus, if you find yourself in need of such a program, this should be more than adequate. It's got a lot of potential, and it should be used in any project that has something to do with colors or color codes and so on.
