MetaLogic Screen OCR

Relying on a powerful OCR engine, MetaLogic Screen OCR provides a simple means of capturing and extracting text inside images. Not only that it can make the captured text editable, but it also comes with an embedded translation tool with support for a plethora of international languages.

The main function of MetaLogic Screen OCR is extracting text in images, regardless of their source. You can use the selection tool to capture text sections in pictures, on webpages, or inside documents, and import it to MetaLogic Screen OCR.

A preview of the input image is shown in the main window of the application. Almost instantly, MetaLogic Screen OCR displays the extracted text in the lower panel in a field that is editable, meaning you are free to modify the text as you wish.

Different fonts and styles can be recognized by the application, even if you load on a lower quality or noisy image with distorted text or indefinite shapes.   Unfortunately, there are no options to export the extracted text to file directly, which could come in handy. You can, however, select and copy the text to your clipboard and paste it into a document to save it on your computer for later use.

The text translator is the secondary function of MetaLogic Screen OCR. Powered by Google Translate, the application can translate from and to any language. Up to 125 languages and dialects are supported, all visible in drop-down lists.

The functionality of MetaLogic Screen OCR is not limited to extracting text from images. With its help, you can convert scanned pages into editable content, and have it translated into any language with minimum effort, which makes it suitable for translators, students and researchers who use various bibliographic sources and have various linguistic requirements.
