There are many applications that you could use in order to capture all sort of information from your desktop.

Either if you want to prove a point or simply take a picture of your screen, you can use Polenta ScreenShot. It's a useful software solution that helps you capture an unlimited number of screenshots and save them in multiple image formats.

The application sports a rather dated graphical interface, with some shortcuts to sections but they're poorly placed on the screen. It automatically launches in your system tray and you will have to maximize it from there.

It doesn't even have a minimize or exit button on the interface, you will have to right-click the application's icon. Polenta ScreenShot definitely needs a nice interface with a modern design.

You simply need to specify the area that you would like to capture and the application will do just that. However, it seems that it has some stability issues as it may unexpectedly crash at times.

It comes with the option to preview the captured image, but there aren't many adjustments that you can make to it. Still, you can take screenshots of the entire PC desktop or just a selectable area. It lets you save the screenshot in two picture formats, either PNG or JPG.

You can copy the screenshot to your clipboard and paste it to a document on your computer. It allows you to browse your system and pick a folder in which you can save all of your images. You can email images directly, simple attach them to your email and share them with friends.

Polenta ScreenShot is a very simple application for capturing screenshots and it has some stability issues that really need to be fixed. Other than that, it sports a dated graphical interface and it definitely needs some more tools.
