RecorDroid is a straightforward screen recorder designed for conducting rudimentary screen recordings with audio capabilities. It deploys fast and requires minimum setup before being fully functional. While it does not excel in innovation, it does a good job with the basics.

The interface was built to be accessible to any user, no matter the technical skills. The compact dashboard manages to effortlessly incorporate the basic tools required by screen recording.

You should start by providing an output location. The record button is immediately enabled after this step, but checking the other options out would be a wiser choice.

To makes things even more manageable, RecorDroid is delivered as a portable tool, requiring no installation process and facilitating the use on multiple machines.

Even if RecorDroid does not have the same arsenal of tools a professional-grade recorder would pack, it is still a viable tool for individuals most interested in rudimentary recording jobs.

For example, the FPS limit can be adjusted by a slider offering values such as 24, 30, 60, 90, 120, and 144. In the audio department, you can choose to record sound directly from your desktop, microphone, or from both sources.

For more tweaks, open the Preferences menu. From there, the audio and video bit rate can be adjusted, as well the video quality. You can enable additional functions like hardware encoding or mouse cursor/click recording.

RecorDroid is a screen recorder targeting mostly a casual audience. The portable, ready-to-go package makes for a decent choice in certain situations, where the content matters more than quality.

As a bit of a drawback, the video quality is not in the best shape. Granted, the tool is still in an early development stage, so these issues could become irrelevant with time.
