Screenshot Merge

Grabbing a screenshot is not exactly simple in Windows, as the OS does not come with a specialized utility for this purpose. If you want to edit and upload these images, things get even trickier.

Screenshot Merge is an application designed to make these tasks a bit easier, enabling you to capture screenshots with a single hotkey, make annotations and upload them. What’s more, it allows you to merge multiple images.

As soon as you have installed the application, it may be a good idea to head to the Settings panel and enable the “Minimize to the system tray” option; this will allow you to send the program to the tray area and reduce taskbar clutter.

When you want to take a screenshot, all you need to do is press the PrintScreen key on your keyboard to bring up the selection box. Sadly, though, this hotkey is not customizable.

After capturing a region of your desktop, the picture will be opened in the built-in editor, where you can perform modifications using several drawing tools.

Screenshots that have been saved during the current session can be merged into a single image. You can find them listed in the main window, and you can even change their order before processing them. However, they can only be merged vertically, as no other layout is available.

Last but not least, Screenshot Merge enables you to upload the edited and merged images, providing you with a direct URL that can be copied to the clipboard and shared with anyone.

This application offers some pretty interesting features, and it is especially well suited for users who wish to quickly merge multiple screenshots and upload them. It is not perfect, but it has many potential uses.
