Screenshot Note Maker

As its name suggests, Screenshot Note Maker is a screen capturing tool that also comes with options and tools to make annotations onto the resulting image. With its help, you can capture various areas of your screen and overlap shapes or text onto the snapshots.

There is no need to install Screenshot Note Maker, but the application does require .NET Framework to run. Once launched, it reveals a simplistic interface, which bundles all the tools and functions within a single window. There are no additional menus or secondary windows to deal with.

You can start either by opening an existing image (even directly from the clipboard) or capturing a screen area. While the application enables you to quickly take snapshots, there are no advanced features, such as a capture timer or even options to capture the entire screen, a specific window or follow the mouse cursor. These features are not implemented, as is usually the case with such applications. Screenshot Note Maker is much more oriented towards the annotations part, rather than graphic capture.

And speaking of annotations, let us move on to the functions that allow overlapping shapes and text onto a screenshot.   Screenshot Note Maker allows you to place rectangles and ellipses, be it just the outline or a filled shape. Lines and arrows can also be used to mark key areas. Both the color and the thickness of the contour can be freely customized.

Screenshot Note Maker can be handy to have around when needing to highlight important areas in a picture. While it comes with predefined shapes and text boxes, it does not allow you to draw freely onto the snapshot, which is one of its drawbacks. Even so, the application is rather useful to those who need to quickly annotate photos.
