There is no doubt that having a screen recorder at hand is useful and, when screenshot capture tools are also included, the application in question is so much so interesting.

Scrnli combines a desktop capturing tool with a screen recorder, delivering a full-featured application package that can cater to all those who need to share pieces of their desktop either in a picture or a video.

Do not look for a classic application window to open once Scrnli is installed and launched. Instead, navigate to the tray area and find its icon or, even easier, look for its floating icon on the desktop. This icon also works as a drop zone, as you can easily drop an image onto it to load it in Scrnli.

Clicking the icon opens the main menu where all the controls are. There are more working modes in Scrnli. You can capture either an area or the entire screen or choose to record a video.

But let us stick to the screenshot capturing and editing for now. Scrnli comes with various annotation tools and options that allow basic editing of your snapshots. You can draw rectangles, lines and circles or distinct colors, write freely onto the image, create a text box or, interestingly, a pointing arrow with a text attached to it.

You can also blur areas you do not want visible, crop the image, or resize it while maintaining the aspect ratio. The same goes with images opened with Scrnli, not just screenshots.

As for the video recorder, it supports capturing the entire screen or just a selected region, with or without webcam and microphone input.   The content you create with Scrnli can either be saved locally or uploaded to your own cloud library, provided you create an account.
