Windows does come with an integrated snipping tool that you can use to capture screen areas but, whether we are talking about Snipping Tool or the new Snip & Sketch, neither of them are not as fully equipped as their third-party competitors. This particular application acts as both a snapshot tool and a screen recorder. It can be used for capturing screenshots and creating video tutorials with various annotations to the output.

It features three major modules: one for capturing screenshots, one for recording screen activity and the last for capturing scrolling screenshots of webpages, long spreadsheets or documents. This latter feature is one of the features that makes iScreenKit really stand out among its competitors.

What would make it more complete are a few options that its competitors usually have. For instance, iScreenKit does not feature options to capture windows, regions or the whole screen, and adding text or graphic watermarks to the resulting output.
