You need to start by loading an image within the main window of the utility. The supported source formats are JPG, PNG and TIFF.

Once you selected the source picture, you can start experimenting with the integrated presets. You basically explore each category, click the one that impresses you, then wait until its preview is generated. If you are satisfied with the result, you can keep it, otherwise you can just keep on browsing the presets.

Some of these presets include several layers, and Chromatic Edges offers you the possibility to choose the ones that should remain visible, while the others can be hidden.

You can start from one of the built-in presets, then customize it to your liking. Alternatively, you can keep the chosen style, and randomize its parameters to come up with an original design.

As soon as you are pleased with the outcome, you can save the settings to a custom preset, assign it a name, then use for your future projects.
