ImageTasks

ImageTasks is an easy-to-use application designed to offer a simple method to edit and adjust multiple pictures and generate unique HTML albums.

It's wrapped in an intuitive and modern interface with four tabs, namely batch edit, image adjustment, HTML album, and Desktop extensions. It supports most used image formats like GIF, PSD, PNG, JPG, JPEG, and other less known PIC, PGM, TGA, or FAX.

To load the files, all you have to do is to browse for their location using the provided tree folder structure. Once detected, you can select specific ones or all of them. Images are shown in the lower part of the window in thumbnail view, while the chosen photo is displayed in both original and edit states.

Effects and enchantments are organized into individual tabs for easier access. The first group comes with hue, saturation, brightness, and contrast. The tool lets you input the parameters manually or by dragging the sliders to the desired position.

You can use corrections, such as resize to any dimension, rotation to custom angles, flip horizontally or vertically, as well as insert watermarks (e.g. circle, cross, lines) with unique colors and filters (mosaic, sharpen, blur, and emboss).

It's possible to generate an HTML gallery, by starting with the image search, and then choosing the desired theme from a few predefined ones, like film strip or classic, for which the style can be set to orange or red bar. A title, short description, layout (specific number of rows and columns), thumbnail size, and format are needed in order to proceed.

It enables you to select an image quality for the items that are not in JPEG format, to reduce their output size. Once finished, it's opened in a new tab in the default web browser, where you can view the album. As for desktop configuration, it lets you display a portrait picture with the desired frame, or show the installed system widgets (calendar, clock, or calculator).

The bottom line is that ImageTasks is a straightforward utility that comes in handy when you want to quickly edit your favorite pictures, as well as apply filters to multiple files at once, and design an HTML collection.
