An image editor through which users can manipulate their stills to look their best, as well as create collages, batch rename, resize, convert, and rotate photos, among other things. #Photo Editor #Graphic Editor #Image Manipulation #Photo #Image #Editor
Image editing is used all throughout the internet nowadays. Chances are, most of the photos you see on social media have been edited in some way or another — some more conspicuously than others.
We're all familiar with — or at least have heard of — Photoshop, but if Adobe's offering is out of reach for you, then you might like what PhotoSir has to offer. Though the Free version comes with a Trial, where some functions are removed, users will nevertheless be able to edit, and work on their stills in a number of ways.
A lot that you'll see here will feel somewhat familiar: the interface is much like you'd see on a more scalable solution, such as Photoshop, which this tool certainly uses as inspiration for a lot of the elements in the interface. Accessing your editing tools, even if you have not used other solutions before, is a process that won't take long to attune to.
Before heading into the editing aspect, you'll perhaps want to have a closer look at the main interface of the program, where tools to create collages, as well as perform batch operations, are available for use. These functions work much like you'd expect, with the batch operations being able to rename, convert, resize, rotate, and add watermarks to a series of photos. You select what you want to work with, tweak the parameters to your liking, and the program will do the rest.
Converting images into video, as well as PDF files, is also possible. You'll also be able to convert PDF documents into images.
The photo editing aspect of the software works rather well, and users will find themselves having numerous options with which they can edit their stills. Modifying the luminance levels, as well as the colors of your photos, works right from the off via the Quick Adjust menu.
For more in-depth editing, you can work with multiple layers, add filters and effects, play with masks and frames, and make use of the sidebar tools, such as the magic pen, lasso, brush, bucket, and so on.
The user has a lot of control in altering the look of their images, but it's worth mentioning that, on more complex photo operations, it's not uncommon to have the program crash to desktop. It occurred frequently to us, which was kind of a letdown. The main interface also once switched to Chinese all of a sudden, and we had to restart the program for everything to go back to English.
A lot can be said about PhotoSir, but the bottom line is that, despite having a few problems that may be frustrating to deal with, it's an overall solid photo editing solution.
