It might happen that you need to resize a large collection of images and change their resolution, for different purposes. Whether you want to alter your image collection or upload photos online, a batch image resizer such as PicsResizer would surely come in handy.

Packed in a lightweight archive, this particular application can process multiple images at the same time, but keep in mind that, unfortunately, the only supported graphic format is JPG.

The application features a one-window interface and no additional menus and options aside from the minimum amount of steps required to perform the conversion. In fact, all the steps you need to take to convert your images are displayed within the main window.

To begin with, you must provide the full path of the folder where the source images are located. Even if you have various types of images in that particular location, PicsResizer recognizes and selects JPG images only.

PicsResizer does not alter the original images during conversion, and there is no possibility to change this setting. In other words, it generates copies in another location on your computer. Consequently, you must also paste or browse for the directory where the output files should be placed.

The third step is to choose a new resolution for the images. The resulting photos have the same aspect ratio as the original; there is nothing to be changed in this respect.

PicsResizer is a handy utility for those who need to change the resolution of their photos, but JPEG is the only supported format. There are no options to convert the file to another file type, as it happens with other software in this category. Even so, it does its job as it should and requires no prior user experience.
