Quick Whiteboard

Quick Whiteboard is not really about whiteboards as much as it is about being quick. This program is an interesting take on the idea of tracing, especially since it acts as a transparent desktop layer on which the user can scribble, draw and add some ideas. In all this time, the background will continue to adapt in real-time to whatever new items are being placed on it. The idea behind it is cooler than useful, although one can find plenty of scenarios in which such a program could become helpful.

Although the app uses your computer screen as its canvas, there are some tools and options which the user will see when the program is active. In fact, the program will place a toolbar at the top of your screen which includes most of the elements needed to execute drawings, sketches, and scribbles on your canvas. The bottom right of the screen includes an extra feature that can set your created piece of art as a background. This brings out the tracing capabilities of this program for modern artists.

The main idea to note is that this program will not alter your desktop in any way. It simply places a transparent layer over it, sort of like a glass, and allows the user to draw on it. If you'd like to create an innovative background, for example, you can do just that. Load your background image, launch the app, and you can start expressing yourself without any problems. Once you're done with the design, simply set your creation as a desktop background by hitting the associated button.

Quick Whiteboard could be considered a fast way to take notes, that's for sure, but it holds greater value as an artistic tool for those wanting to add an extra unique touch to their desktop backgrounds.
