Taking a bunch of selfies probably means that you have to make tweaks and apply various effects to be completely satisfied with your photo collection. Instead of turning to a specialist, especially if you're not looking for professional work, you can try software tools.

If you don't have PhotoShop skills, you can resort to more user-friendly applications like Selfie Studio, which can make some adjustments automatically as well as provide you with brushes and tools to make tweaks yourself, in just a few simple steps.

The program is wrapped in an intuitive and accessible graphical interface, having areas designated for a thumbnail of the loaded image, filters and mask for quick changes, layers and layer controls, along with color customization.

To get started, you can import photos with .bmp, .emf, .gif, .jpg, .pcd, .pcx, .png, .psd, .tbr (TwistedBrush), .tga, .tif, wmf or .wbmp format. These are also the filetypes you can export images to.

Many brushes of different levels are provided by the application, such as tone mapping, sigmoidal contrast, normalize, high pass, auto levels, smart blur, vibrance, grayscale, desaturate, despeckle, and radiant. Some of them can be applied automatically while others require your assistance for finetuning.

More solutions can be viewed in the menu bar, whether you want to add an artistic touch, insert borders, boxes, folds or frames, make photo enhancements, reduce noise, change the layout, or add special effects like extreme bright detail, glow or neon style. Previewing is possible.

If you have some experience with graphic editors, you can work with multiple layers (including layer merging). Common image editing features are available too, like resizing, cropping, rotating and flipping. It's possible to mix colors from the palette, enable masks, use a color picker, rotate brushes, and change the interface theme.

The program worked smoothly in our tests, having minimal impact on the computer's performance. All aspects considered, Selfie Studio facilitates a user-friendly interface and comprehensive features for making adjustments to selfies and other types of images.
