Photography has always been art and, thanks to modern equipment, it involves a lot more than the use of a camera. Generally speaking, it has gotten to the point when more than half of the technique behind images is carried in the post-processing phase.

Spektrel Art is an application that enables you to sharpen images for the purpose of emphasizing the fluidity of textures and drawing the viewer's attention to certain elements in the composition.

The program comes with an intuitive and easy to understand interface, so it is unlikely that you can encounter issues while browsing the interface. The GUI is neatly organized in panels and toobals, the largest pane being dedicated to viewing and analyzing the pictures.

In the upper toolbar, you can find the tools that enable you to preview and analyze the image more minutely, namely zoom in and out, rotate and crop, if your project requires it. In the lower region, you can browse through and preview the numerous presets that the application comes with and select the appropriate one for your pictures.

It is worth mentioning that the program dozens of presets to get you started, although the app features two main styles, dark and light. You can make modifications to the presets by increasing or decreasing the colorize and general detail, altering the style, edge sharpen, color boost, contrast and the taper length, just to name a few.

You will be happy to learn that the utility enables you to create your own presets by altering the aforementioned values until you obtain the desired effects. Nevertheless, you should keep in mind that you always need to start from a preset and you cannot create your custom style from scratch. While this can save time, it may also limit the editing possibilities.
