Have one or more pictures resized and renamed, as well as a text watermark applied by simply dropping target items over the application window #Image resizer #Resize image #Add watermark #Resize #Rezizer #Shrink
Chances are you want some pictures to be reduced in size so they meet specific demands, such as a profile picture. There’s hardly a method to do this through what Windows provides by default, but you can surely rely on specialized applications like TinyImageConverter, which can also rename target items.
First of all, you need to make sure that Java Runtime Environment is installed on your computer, otherwise the application doesn’t function. However, the program itself is not bundled inside a setup package, so you can use it on other computers, and since it relies on Java, it works on more than just Windows systems.
The whole operation is pretty straightforward, but also efficient. As stated by the program, you need to drop one or more target files over the window to process them. Note, however, that this needs to be the final operation, because once dropped, all configured rules get applied. Don’t worry though, original files are left intact.
Several tasks can be accomplished at a time, and for multiple pictures simultaneously. On the one hand, you can choose to have images resized, either by specifying percentage, or width or height values to chop off. Second, you can keep aspect ratio intact so the visual style is not affected.
There’s also the possibility to have output files renamed according to various filters. It uses specific tags to provide name, but you can write custom characters. Sadly, there’s no list of supported tags, so you need to try out a few things. You can add watermark text with custom transparency level.
All things considered, we can state that TinyImageConverter is a practical picture processor which can handle multiple tasks at a time. Portability represents a major advantage, while the whole process lasts a few seconds, with rules for resizing, renaming, and adding watermark applied as soon as pictures are loaded.
