The computer is quite a nifty tool which can enhance nearly every domain of activity, especially presentations. Depending on the event, you might just need a bunch of people to read off a big screen, while keeping the desktop visible at all times. This is exactly what BigNote promises to deliver in a lightweight fashion.

Before you can even install the application, it’s best to make sure that .NET Framework is installed on your computer. The core function activates right on launch, and you can instantly see a large caret blinking on the desktop on top of everything else, as well as a hat icon which provides access to the settings panel.

You can start typing right away, with large letters filling up the screen almost entirely. However, the more you write, the smaller the text gets. This means that large text contents become incredibly difficult to read because the application doesn’t make it possible to scroll through content and wants to keep everything in plain sight.

The default font and color configuration is pleasant enough to blend with almost any kind of desktop. Accessing the settings panel lets you change these values. Unfortunately, there’s no color palette, or font picker so you need to manually write the desired font name, as well as the HEX color code.

Edit options only stretch as far as to allow you to cut, copy, and paste. Selection of text is either done through the keyboard, or with the mouse. To quit, you simply need to clear all text and click anywhere on the desktop.
