Blur Detection

If you are the kind of person who enjoys taking dozens of pictures when participating in events or when going on vacations, then sorting the good ones from the bad ones might be a tedious task. One type of images that you are likely to discard are the blurry ones, but sorting them means taking the time to view each one.

As the name suggests, Blur Detection is a tiny, portable tool designed to help you identify blurry photos in a rather large batch.

The program is minimalistic, which is not exactly a setback considering that it has only one role, namely to sort out the blurry pictures. The GUI is old-school and consists of a single window where you have the two main options at your disposal, to select the desired folder and the Sort command. Overall, even if you did not use similar programs before, you are unlikely to have troubles with this one.

Once you select the desired directory, the app sets it as default as destination. The application offers you the possibility to change it so that you have all the processed images good-to-go in another folder of your choice.

Some advanced users who enjoy post-processing their images and perhaps, upload them on various dedicated websites, could argue that you can turn to advanced tools such as Lightroom for this purpose. On the other hand, not everyone knows how to use the Adobe editor or maybe, why not admit it, may not want to bother since they are processing private photos that they intend to share with very close people only.
