Launching the application brings up the main window, which is initially fitted with neatly described steps you need to take, and the result you get in the end. On the other hand, the intuitive overall design of the application helps you quickly accommodate, so you can start loading pictures shortly after launch.

Unfortunately, the application doesn’t let you drag target pictures over the main window, which means you have to rely on the built-in dialog for this operation. Supported formats include BMP, JPG, GIF, PNG, TIF, and EXIF. However, you need to manually select pictures you want to edit, with no possibility to target an entire folder.

Output is the same as the source of the target files, with no built-in option to select a custom one. What you can do for new files is fill in a prefix field, and it’s best to do so if you don’t want to risk overwriting the original pictures. The application doesn’t come with a preview area, so you need to know for sure those are the pictures you want to edit.

Managing color changing options is an easy task, and only requires you to pick two colors from the default palette, namely the original and new colors. You can use to adjust a transparent zone, or convert a color to transparent layer. Be sure to pick the exact color tone of interest, because it’s not adjusted according to tone, and the result might not really be what you expect to find.

All things considered, we can safely state that Easy Color Replacer is a straightforward application that can quickly replace one specific color from pictures, with another one. It’s not an editor aimed at regular pictures, since tones aren’t covered and you risk messing up some pixels that hold your target color.
