File Visualizer

File Visualizer might be self-explanatory in regard to what it is supposed to do, but this application is not appealing to everybody. In fact, it looks like a tool for advanced users who know how to analyze a picture's contents and could play around with those values a bit.

Installing the application is not necessary. Extract and run it directly. However, there is a small error generated at the first launch. This is due to the configuration file being generated inside the source directory. Click Cancel when the error prompt pops up and run the executable a second time to access the UI.

The interface is made of several buttons and a couple of rows. You start by loading the image file. Once that is ready, the Options area will be filled with the picture's detail values. Those who know how to make and read histograms can use the File histogram area to get the job done.

File Visualizer can also create grayscale color images pixel by pixel. If you need to limit the processed megabytes, the app lest you determine those parameters. User-configurable temporary working folder — or the source folder that holds the config file. To manage this file, the developer recommends having a RAM drive set up. That would increase speed and responsiveness when using the tool.

In summary, File Visualizer is a tiny application that lets you analyze and alter an image file. Despite being a lightweight program, it is not recommended for users who are not knowledgeable in picture manipulation.
