Have the application redraw your pictures in an animated, automated process to neatly sketch them, with options to look online for pictures of interest #Draw image #Draw picture #Draw photo #Draw #Redraw #Drawer
Pictures represent an important part of every design, be it website, application interface, or video game. On the other hand, images are shared in great number on social networks, and most of them go through enhancements or editing processes. For instance, Image Drawer can transform your pictures to look like actual hand drawings.
One of the application’s main advantages is that it skips you the time and effort of going through a setup process, meaning it can be used right after download, and even directly from a USB flash drive. You don’t even have to worry about affecting the functionality or stability of the target PC, because registries are not a dependency.
The visual design is rather rough and unpolished, with a high chance to make you look for alternatives. Giving it a shot, you notice there are two possibilities to load images, either from the web, or from your computer. The main window is fitted with the Google Images search engine, letting you quickly find pictures of interest.
If you want to use something stored on your computer, you need to load it through the built-in dialog, because drag and drop is not supported. Once this is done, a preview is instantly generated, so you get an idea what is obtained in the end. Options are related to the process itself, with a slider for drawing speed, whether to enhance edges, and the possibility to run in slim mode.
What the application does is take control of your mouse cursor, and use it to draw the picture, as shown in the preview. The sketch is rough, with no colors, or an option to add any. What’s more, the resulting picture can’t be saved to file, which is rather disappointing, considering it’s almost completely altered.
To sum it up, Image Drawer is a poor image processor, offering a shallow set of features, and little to no control over the whole operation. Sure enough, its intentions are to have the picture neatly drawn in an animated, automated process, but there’s no option to save result, and stability issues might make matters frustrating.
