Image Resizer

Image Resizer is an application with a title that pretty much sums up its functionality - it allows you to change the size of your image files. The tool can be easily used by novices.

The interface of the application is plain and simple to navigate through. Image files can be imported into the list by using the file browser only, since the "drag and drop" method is not supported. Batch processing is allowed.

In the queue you can check out the thumbnail and resolution of each picture. All you have to do is specify the new size (in pixels or percentage), select the destination directory and proceed with the task by pressing the "Generate" button. Plus, you can convert images to grayscale mode and clear the list.

The image processing tool takes up a moderate amount of system resources, has a good response time, quickly finishes a task and manages to preserve a good image quality in the output files. No errors have popped up during our testing and Image Resizer did not freeze or crash.

On the other hand, the interface is outdated and there is no help file available. Moreover, you cannot configure program settings (e.g. enable Image Resizer to minimize to the system tray or to stay on top of other applications). Image Resizer comes bundled with the minimum requirements for an image resizing tool and we recommend it to all users who prefer a straightforward application.
